A sensitive low-noise magnetic loop receiver tuned to audio-frequency atmospheric radio emissions, capturing lightning whistlers and magnetospheric chorus waves.
TECHNICAL SUMMARY & TRANSDUCTION DYNAMICS
Dual orthogonal 1-meter shielded loop antennas wound with low-capacitance Litz wire feed ultra-low-noise JFET preamplifiers with 110 dB dynamic range. Calibrated for studio and field use under ZIAA experimental protocols. Harmonic distortion measured under 0.02% across primary operating range.
