Non-Contact Laser Profilometer for Historical Grooved Audio Carriers (Revision 3.2)
Non-Contact Laser Profilometer for Historical Grooved Audio Carriers (Revision 3.2)
OPERATIONAL ABSTRACT
An optical audio scanner utilizing dual 405nm blue lasers to reconstruct high-fidelity audio from fragile historical lacquer, wax, and metal phonograph discs. Enhanced revision 3 with improved low-noise shielding and updated real-time firmware.
TECHNICAL SUMMARY & TRANSDUCTION DYNAMICS
Laser triangulation and high-speed linear CMOS sensors capture groove wall topography at sub-micron resolution, converting physical groove excursions directly into 192 kHz audio. Calibrated for studio and field use under ZIAA experimental protocols. Harmonic distortion measured under 0.02% across primary operating range.
