Real-Time Neural Latent Audio Resynthesizer with Multi-Vector Joystick (Revision 4.1)
Real-Time Neural Latent Audio Resynthesizer with Multi-Vector Joystick (Revision 4.1)
OPERATIONAL ABSTRACT
A hardware instrument enabling performers to smoothly morph between disparate acoustic instrument timbres in real time using a four-axis analog vector joystick. Enhanced revision 4 with improved low-noise shielding and updated real-time firmware.
TECHNICAL SUMMARY & TRANSDUCTION DYNAMICS
An optimized deep convolutional autoencoder compresses audio spectral frames into an 8D latent space. The joystick navigates this space, resynthesizing audio with zero phase smearing. Calibrated for studio and field use under ZIAA experimental protocols. Harmonic distortion measured under 0.02% across primary operating range.
