INCIDENT NARRATIVE
A 40 kHz phased ultrasonic levitation array holding suspended acoustic micro-particles in mid-air experienced a momentary DC power dip. The acoustic trapping well collapsed instantaneously, causing suspended reflective particles to disperse across the precision laser measurement optics.
ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
DC power supply lacked an uninterruptible capacitor reserve bank to buffer against laboratory line-voltage transients.
CONTAINMENT PROTOCOL
Added a 48V supercapacitor buffer bank and installed a transparent sealed optical containment chamber around the acoustic trapping zone.
