INCIDENT NARRATIVE
An autonomous algorithmic sound installation running continuously in the ZIAA foyer began sounding increasingly uniform over a 3-week exhibition. By day 18, all 12 independent generative voices had collapsed into a single monotonous 1,024 Hz harmonic cluster.
ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
Markov probability matrices were recursively normalized using single-precision floats, accumulating rounding biases that favored a single absorbing state.
CONTAINMENT PROTOCOL
Switched to double-precision arithmetic and implemented automated entropy watchdogs that re-seed pitch tables if variance falls below threshold.
